We are settled in and I am now able to sew in my Attic sewing room, located in my Hansel and Gretel house in Longview, Washington. Still a little work to do on the room, but I was excited and wanted to get back to the sewing machine.
To launch the 2017 season I have created a Fourth of July ensemble in a 1970's style that would look great on Julie. The outfit includes a paneled vest, hip hugging flared jeans, turtleneck tee and a tam hat. The items are fashioned from tie-dyed denim and white cotton printed with red and blue stars. Up and Running by the end of May
We arrived in Longview, Washington in mid-February. Since then we have purchased a home, moved in, done the necessary remodeling and unpacking (while not all of that...LOL) and are getting settled in. The people here are wonderful and we feel very much at home. The weather has been good lately and we have been able to enjoy Lake Sacajawea which is just a block from our house.
I am starting to unpack the inventory and arrange the sewing room. I hope to be able to start creating new costumes by the end of the month.
Hope to reconnect with all of you soon.
